Leafrunner Technologies

User Agreement

Effective date: March 29, 2026

This User Agreement governs your access to and use of LIT College, a campus social product operated by Leafrunner Technologies, Inc. By creating an account, signing in, or using the product, you agree to this agreement.

1. Who can use LIT College

You must be at least 18 years old or otherwise legally able to agree to this contract. The pilot is intended for students and community members connected to UMN Twin Cities. Access may require control of a valid @umn.edu email address and completion of the product's email code sign-in flow.

2. What the product does

LIT College helps users see what is happening on campus, post plans or needs, connect with other users, and chat around events, requests, and campus activity. The product may show live location-derived pins, user-generated posts, event attendance signals, and chat activity.

3. Your account and your information

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you submit and for activity that occurs through your account. You agree not to impersonate another person, misstate your campus affiliation, or use another person's account.

4. Location, posts, and chats

If you post a plan or other map-visible item, the product may use the address you enter, your live location, or a manual pin override to place that post on the map. You are responsible for the content of your posts, offers, messages, uploads, and other activity. You should not post precise private information you do not want other users to see.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use LIT College to harass, threaten, stalk, defraud, impersonate, spam, scrape, or otherwise harm other users or the product. You also agree not to post unlawful content, sexually exploitative content, non-consensual intimate content, or content that violates another person's rights.

  • No scams, fake ticket sales, fake housing offers, or fraudulent requests.
  • No abuse of live location features or map visibility features.
  • No automated access that degrades the service or bypasses product limits.

6. User content and license

You retain ownership of the content you submit. You grant Leafrunner Technologies, Inc. a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute that content only as needed to operate, secure, improve, and support the product.

7. Moderation and enforcement

We may review, remove, restrict, or preserve content or accounts when needed to enforce product rules, respond to abuse, comply with legal obligations, or protect users and the service. Some areas of the product may feel open or lightly moderated, but that does not remove our right to intervene when necessary.

8. Campus interactions and personal responsibility

LIT College is a coordination tool, not a guarantee of attendance, safety, identity, or outcomes. Use judgment when meeting people, buying or trading items, sharing your location, or joining plans. Leafrunner Technologies is not responsible for the conduct of other users or for off-platform interactions between users.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the product at any time if we believe you violated this agreement, created risk for other users, or used the service in a way that harms the product or community. You may stop using the service at any time.

10. Disclaimers

The service is provided on an as is and as available basis. To the maximum extent allowed by law, Leafrunner Technologies disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, and accuracy.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Leafrunner Technologies, Inc. and its officers, employees, and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost goodwill, or personal injury arising from or related to the product. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars or the amount you paid us in the prior twelve months, whichever is greater.

12. Changes to this agreement

We may update this agreement from time to time. If we make a material change, we may update the effective date, post the revised agreement in the product, or provide another reasonable notice method. Continued use after the revised agreement takes effect means you accept the update.

13. Governing law

This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
